Waterfront Boardwalk Upgrade

The crew recently replaced an existing boardwalk with a waterfront entrance leading into Hyannis Harbor. By first removing the pre-existing boardwalk, the crews constructed a 200-foot boardwalk, made of pressure treated lumber, as well as IPE decking.

Osterville – Pier Replacement

Our construction crews completed this job by removing the homeowner’s old pier, and replaced it with a brand-new pier, as well a large floating dock. This new pier and floating dock were constructed with IPE decking, which will give the homeowner a heavy duty and long-lasting deck surface. This dock is unique in that it can accommodate multiple large boats with plenty of draft and berthing space.

West Dennis – Roadside Bulkhead

This roadside property was improved by inserting a new vinyl sheet bulkhead and greenheart pilings for protection against erosion. This gives the owner additional land and the potential to install a permanent dock and a stabilized bank for dredging in the future.

Pine Island – Bridge Reconstruction

This project consists of a completed residential bridge reconstruction project leading to a private Cape Cod Island with two homes on it. Our construction crews disconnected all utilities out to the island that ran in the existing bridge, removed the old failing bridge and its abutments at either side of the road, built two new abutments on either side and added a new higher capacity and higher elevation bridge. The bridge now has a known capacity rating and is elevated out of the storm tide range making it safer for the homes on the island.

Major Pier Upgrade – Bass River

This outdated pier located on Bass River had a total rebuild from start to finish. Our construction crews upgraded the pier with IPE hardwood decking. This material will provide a long-term maintenance free and quality finish on this pier for the duration of its lifespan. The pier was reconstructed with additional features including larger floats, handrails, and a bench / storage locker.

Seaview Ave Project – Piers and Bulkhead

Our construction crews replaced the old wooden bulkhead with flat panel sheets designed with a textured finish to look like a traditional timber seawall. Both Piers were re-done on this amazing waterfront property to cap off a total refit of water access.

Eastham Embankment Stairs Revamp

Our maintenance crew gave this embankment staircase in Eastham a major facelift. The crew demoed the existing beach stairs and built new from the ground up. The stairs were built with all new pressure treated lumber and galvanized fasteners. The staircase includes two benches and the installation of the existing dock box. This update will give the homeowner beach access for many years to come.

Neighboring Embankment Stairs with IPE Progress & Completion

Our construction crews were back in Dennis and built another large embankment star right next door to a previous winter project. This project is designed to match the stair next door and includes a large landing at the top with two large sitting benches, a large deck on top of the stone revetment, and built with all IPE decking and handrail. This stair also includes a two-piece aluminum staircase that can be quickly removed and stored in the event of a storm.

Bulkhead Progress & Completion

New bulkhead and embankment stair installation. First we had to build access down a steep bank, create a stable working area, and remove an old stone and concrete wall. Once the site was prepped we installed the new wall which included helical tiebacks, backfilled and graded the bank and finished with a brand new embankment stair set. All work was completed by Beacon Marine’s talented team.
