The structure was deteriorating and warped. There was heavy vegetation overgrowth posing a walking hazard. Our Maintenance Division cleared and rebuilt this staircase using pressure treated wood for all framing, decking, and handrail. The structure was supported by 4 x 4 posts and seamlessly connected to a seasonal pier. Additional improvements included a new set of steps to access the shoreline.
